On the road again...

Barely had the plane touched down from Chicago...

Before Mose was back on the road! This time, to drive the old Volvo up to Baltimore for Uncle Roy (who is 16 and getting his license) and so Mose's mom could visit her best friend (and Mose's too) Susan!

Susan is now a doctor!!!! and there was a nice party for Mose to attend.

Mose is very proud of Susan, and he thought she looked classy in her pearls.

While in town, Mose did other fun things, like eat yams and nannas, lounge about by the pool (in his sunhat, of course) and crawl two whole feet!

He also visited his friend Annick on her grandma's farm in Annapolis. Mose heard the wind blow in the trees, watched the dogs run, sat on the backporch, and took a walk down a gravel road. Now Mose wants a farm too.

Of course, there was lots of time with Grammy and Gramps (some of it while Gram tried to make a phonecall), and even a visit to a wine store, where Mose had salad and cheese and Mose's mom indulged. Mose likes wine! He's fond of unpretentious reds.

Oh, MOSE!

Grandparents galore...

This week, Mose put on his traveling hat and his hipster onesie, and hit the road. He visited Iowa and Chicago, where he got to see his grandparents and even his GREAT grandparents... it was GREAT!

Mose's mama was very appreciative to Mose and the grandparents, since SHE got to go out to dinner with her friends and read stories in bookstores and be on the radio... and didn't have to worry about Mose one bit. Mose also got to sleep on the floor a lot, and hang out with all the cool Iowa gals (Thisbe, Constie, Pieta, Sonya are pictured... but many are missing, including our superfantastic hostess Sarah, who took the pictures)!

He likes the ladies... a flirt, our Mose.

Then Mose got to see the windy city! He went to all kinds of cool hotspots in Andersonville, hang out at Navy Pier, and meet his first Nobel Prize-winner.

No fooling!

He also met his new friend Sharone, who is a very good cuddler... and Tamar, who is the world's best babysitter (and Mose's first!) and he spent a lot of time with Miss Margaret in the car (sorry Margaret ;)

But now... Mose and mama are both happy to be home for a bit, and they are spending a lot of quality time in their PJs. It's nice.

In other BIG news... Mose has a tooth! Or rather, the edge of a tooth...

Tonight's special...

Carrots!

Cooked to "perfection," if by "perfection" you mean, "a pulp."

Served "a la maman", if by "a la maman" you mean, "on the finger of Mose's mom!"

Yum!!!

Roots and tubers beat rice cereal all hollow.

So begins the game we call, "teach Mose about nutrtion."

Sorry, Mose, but the Cheetos will have to wait. You'll thank us someday.
